I've been noticing all these great gadget-type toys/learning utilities for kids. Many computer or video in nature, all seemingly wonderful for helping children learn so many things

What an absolutely perfect picture. Good luck finding a new home. Perhaps it will be a good fresh start for all of you - a new place, new adventure.
Jenna, dear, I need your puppy advice! Sadie is mostly housebroken, but she keeps having accidents. If I leave her alone for a long time, I keep her in the kitchen, and she is fine there. However, when I'm home, she has pretty much full run of the downstairs. She keeps peeing on the carpet, mostly right by the door to go outside. I can't often catch her in the act to correct her, but I am treating the spots so she doesn't return to the exact same place.
It seems like she can hold it when she has to, but without "having" to, she goes whenever she feels the slightest urge. Suggestions??
suggestions would be to be consistant, follow her around ALL the time, and take her outside as often as possible. catching her in the act works wonders, and when you do, just bring her directly outside to finish up. she'll learn, and i know you are a patient and loving soul, so i haven't a doubt she will learn well. :)
England would be good! Here in our sleepy little town, beautiful countryside, excellant schools, National Health Service, and me!!! Yes, a lovely, lovely picture. How wonderful. I`ve often found it strange when one of the kids from the neighbourhood comes around and asks if one of ours wants to go play on the playstation, or watch tv, or a film....it`s rare that the boys are inside, they`re usually on the green playing some ball game, or up the trees! Amber is more indoors-y, but she loves to read, so I`m not interfering!! But yes, unless it`s kicking down with rain, and sometimes even if it is!, our kids are definitly nature kids. :))
Those commercials drive me nuts! I sarcastically told Pat the other day that poor Nick was SOOOO deprived in his formative years because all he had was handmade flash cards, a peanut butter jar with slips of paper in it we called The Word Jar and his poor undereducated 20 something year old mother *rolleyes* Somehow he managed to get a full academic scholarship at a highly regarded university in Oklahoma... speaking of Oklahoma, we'd welcome y'all in a scared rabbit's heartbeat :) Nick is proof of the school system and we not only have deer, we have bugling elk herds, buffalo and more silly little prairie dogs than you can shake a stick at
LOVE that picture! Mr. Sumner is getting quite a head of gorgeous hair, isn't he? {{hugs}}
