Lab victory!

May 03, 2007 15:35

So yesterday my standard arrived. Today I did an assay with it.

My standard curve has an r squared value of 1.

1!

Usually you get 0.9 something I have never ever had such a linear standard curve.

Joy!

I sure hope some of the people reading this understand my excitement

Hehe thanks.

I actually can claim some credit for it working because while the standard was bought, I did the dilutions and added reagents. *dances*

Yay! It's always called "curve" despite it being linear in some cases.

Oh dear.

Isn't it satisfying?! :D

yay you!

It was more than satisfying. I kinda did a doubletake then showed anyone I could find. Even though it should technically be 1, I think it is probably rare for that to happen due to slight fluctuations in everything.

I am satified by my serial dilution technique though as the curve would not have been good if I failed at that.

Now alls I gotta do is keep getting perfectly linear curves and find a way to throw it into my thesis somehow...or not.

It is satisfying, no? I haven't got *1*, but i've pulled .99995 before, which i almost as good. Here crickets no, more, for i shall whoop with joy alongside.

I totally beat you! This is cause for celebration!
But hooray for 2.5 (or possibly 3) people understanding my elation.

You can explain some time and I will understand.
For the nonce, I will smile warmly at your esoteric success! At least I understand that!
*EEEEEEE*
Sorry, that was my ludicrous smile. I suppose the warm and gentle one doesn't make any sound.

I can imagine the ludicrous smile and I think I like it better.
Hehe.
