We do not, and only once have, gone shopping immediately after Thanksgiving. The crowds, the noise, the confusion all combine to set off both of our "don't like crowds" syndromes. I generally don't participate in Black Friday nonsense. Though we had a sudden urge for cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie at 11pm on Thanksgiving night... and wouldn't you know it, the only place open was a Walmart Supercenter. Oh god was it crazy!

Though I do have one tradition of mine. Near the end of the holiday season I go to the Galleria Mall to wander around and watch the wildlife... mainly all the shaved monkeys going ape over deals on shiny things.
