part i.
Character name: Megan Gwynn | Pixie
Fandom: Marvel Comics AU
Species: Human mutant
Character powers: Pink hair, pointed ears, black eyes, fairy wings, flight, generation of hallucinogenic "pixie dust," teleportation
part ii.
1.) Is it acceptable for your character to be mind-controlled or persuaded? How susceptible are they to mind control, hypnotism, or suggestion? Yes, Pixie has no inherent mental defenses, so she's as susceptible as anyone else.
2.) Is it acceptable for your character to have their mind read? Does this include traumatic memories? What is their mind like (disturbing, orderly, joyful, surprisingly empty, etc.)? If the character has psychic walls or preventative measures against psychic interference, please explain. Pixie is an open book. Her mind is disturbing in that it's full of bunnies and rainbows and unicorns and candy floss and teddy bears picnicking by the sea -- depending on your tolerance for hyper-cute, well...
3.) Are thoughts mentioned in narration acceptable for a telepath to pick up? Yes. If it's in italics, it's a direct thought, and your character can read it if they're telepathic if you want.
4.) What about emotions, in the case of an empath? What sort of general emotional reading would such a character receive from yours? Insecure happiness. Pixie is constantly expecting rejection from everyone around her, but is generally an upbeat, optimistic person.
5.) Are there any aspects of your character's mind, emotions, or memories you would like to be picked up, mentioned, or used in character? Conversely, is there anything that should not be noticed, or at least never mentioned? Not really.
part iii.
1.) Physically speaking, what stands out about your character? Imposing size? Physical scarring? Tattoos? Pixie's hair, eyes, ears, and wings are her most eyecatching traits. Her wings are similar in shape to a dragonfly's, iridescent in colour, and much less dainty than they look. She is thin, has a few piercings -- belly button, tongue, ears, and one nipple -- and a few homemade tattoos on her wrists and ankles, stars and smiley faces and such.
2.) Is your character immune to any of the following: poisons, chemical agents, telekinetic influence, radiation, or types of illnesses? None of the above.
3.) Is your character physiologically different from a human in any way? This can include their blood, skin, hair, et cetera being made up of something unusual or simply differing in construction and durability. Pixie's dust generates mostly from her wings, but can come from anywhere, so be careful when, um... licking her or something. Her blood isn't inherently magical like actual faeries, but anyone who bites her is probably going to get a big dose of dust.
4.) Are you amenable to having your character be harmed in any way? How far are you comfortable with injury to you character going? Does this include being fed on by vampires, willingly or unwillingly? Ask me before if it's intended to be something serious? I'm willing to let her get hurt, but not like... ABSOLUTELY MAIMED and missing limbs and shit if I didn't volunteer for that specifically.
5.) Is it acceptable for other characters with abilities of shapeshifting or disguise to imitate your character? Does this include ability mimicry? Go nuts.
part iv.
1.) Can your character's presence or aura be noticed by other characters, and how would it look/feel to them? How would it manifest to a character with no supernatural abilities, if at all? She'll look like any other human mutant.
2.) Can your character be affected by magic spells and curses? Yes.
3.) Can your character be affected by sin and corruption, and be tempted toward expressing their darker urges (of whatever flavor)? Yessss, Pixie has a darker nature she suppresses because it scares her. She's gullible and easily tempted to the Dark Side.
4. What sort of sins is the character prone toward, and how might they best be tempted, if you are interested in such an event? Wrath, envy and lust -- Pixie has a capacity for violence she represses, and is jealous of everyone else because she measures herself against them and finds herself wanting. She craves sexual attention because any attention is good attention to her.
5.) Are you amenable to the character receiving prophetic visions, including as part of a plot? Yes.
part v.
1.) Is canon-puncturing or fourth-walling acceptable? We encourage people to tread extremely lightly with allowing their character to learn they are fictional. No.
2. Is threadjacking allowed? Under what circumstances? Yes, go nuts.
3. Is it acceptable for canonmates that are updated further than yours to inform your character of events yours has not yet experienced? Yes.
4. Are there triggering or upsetting topics you would like other characters to avoid mentioning to yours for the sake of continued comfort (racist words, homophobia, self-injury, etc.)? Topics relating to self-harm and eating disorders are extremely triggering to me. Please don't subject me to them out of nowhere. Homo- and transphobia can be triggering to me, although it depends a lot on context and generally I'm able to ignore it in RP. I find rape and child abuse upsetting and lately have been triggered by them in RP, so I would appreciate people treading lightly on those subjects. Otherwise, I may be disinclined to tag characters who are excessively *ist, even if it's in-character and I know the player doesn't share their opinions; I just don't want to deal with that, sorry.
5. Are there any additions you would like us to make to this survey? Nope.
