“Finished?” He tapped his watch. “We should go.”
Illya gave a discreet burp, nodding. “Let’s get the prisoner and facilitate the exchange.”
At the bridge, their prisoner was handcuffed and gagged-extreme, but necessary for success. They waited.
Finally, he faint glow of a flashlight on the other side…two, one, two flashes. Now…
Suddenly the area was awash with red and blue flashing lights!
Looking back, in context, they should’ve notified the NYPD. Who knew “Royalty” (Escobar the Drug King) had been under surveillance.
