I know I said this in IMs, but I just felt like it should be repeated, because A) I know how bad a person's memory can get when they're in significant pain, B) It's something which always deserves to be repeated, and C) It's something which always deserves to be repeated (sorry, couldn't resist ::winks::).
So here ya, go...
{{{{{HUGS}}}}} Love you, Sis. You're doing great, the worst (the first two days) is already past. {{{{{HUGS}}}}}
And don't forget what I said in IMs, always take the pills with food, I know you can't really chew right now, but even just a glass of milk will help a lot. Something like Ensure (I can't stand the stuff, but if you can, it's a great food-subsitute for meds), or cream of chicken soup, or cream of brocali, or cream of whatever-the-fuck, whatever kind you can keep down. Don't skip the meds because you're afraid of how you'll feel on them, believe me, you'll heal a lot faster with the painkillers in you then you will while skipping them and being miserable. Your body heals faster on them, it really

Thanks, sis. It was much less scary an experience than I was expecting. And I knew I should have consulted you before starting any kind of major pain medication. ;-)
I haven't taken any Vicodin since yesterday (I'm gun shy now) but I actually don't seem to be needing it(!). I slept without drugs of any kind last night and didn't have a problem, and today I've been floating along on plain old Ibuprofen (200-400mg) without any significant pain at all. I also have no swelling or jaw problems and next to no bleeding. I can eat soft foods now, as long as I'm careful (I had ice cream for breakfast, cold linguine for lunch and potato salad for dinner, blah) so... so far so good, I guess?
::shrug::
I don't have any stitches and it was apparently a quick, uncomplicated surgery (Mom says I was out of there in like half an hour) so that probably helps, too.
The main thing bothering me today is wooziness/dizziness/nausea (or is that the same thing?) that I think carried over from last night, and that can go away ANY TIME NOW,
