I am thinking of starting a web site. Actually I would have to ask someone else to do so. Would any of you read it? It would be more for recipes and menu ideas for feasts, etc. The other thought is, Scrapesoflife is working on a household web page. Would that suffice? As a SCAdian who is also interested in medieval Cornwall, I was wondering if you have any suggestions for how to research the impact of William the Conqueror on Cornwall? I would like to situate my persona on the southeastern tip of Cornwall, somewhere between 1075 and 1150. I play with the Barony of Marinus in the Kingdom of Atlantia. Thank you in advance for any help you can offer.

I initially thought of placing myself in Lizard because it is the sunniest and warmest area of Cornwall (according to a British co-worker), but after reading about Lostwithiel, a town founded by the Normans, I think I would like to live there. Restormel Castle is one of the sites I want to visit when I travel to Cornwall next summer (2008). I envy you your trip to Cornwall. Are you familiar with either of these two books? "Medieval Devon and Cornwall" by Frederica C E \Law-Turner, Sam Turner (Editor)and "Cornwall - A History" by Philip Payton. The second book is not available here in the states. I have also found a bookshop online that specializes in "Cornwall" books. What do you have in your library?

I knew about the language thing, but not about the returning Bretons. Oh, and I currently use Emelyne de Crosseland (a good Anglo-Norman name.)
