Nope. I think it's just something someone made up, but I thought it was amusing. How are you liking your new job?

Take a look at how much money GM has lost this past year. They are just pissed because they weren't smart enought to jump on the hybrid engine. They spent all their money on SUV's because all they care about is profit not better, faster, smarter machines. Plus, has GM ever heard of Linux? Face it, we have to replace parts in our cars more often than we do in our computers, and my computer at work runs ALL THE TIME. Brakes don't last as long these days, why? So some A hole can make a larger profit. Cars break down mysteriously after the warranty period? Why? So some A hole can make a profit. Every pc I've ever had, I've ripped the guts out of, upgraded and swapped parts in and out. They all RAN even after I sold them. All GM cares about is market share and profit. The only reason we don't drive hyrdrogen or natural gas cars is that no one wants to make the investment for the future. It's ALLLLLLL ABOUT money. That's the American way. Bill Gates is RIGHT!!!

I agree with you. Cars should have been improved for fuel and cost reduction. It's so frustrating that we could have alternative fuels and not be so darn dependent on oil. The dang conglomerate buys up all the patents for alternative designs and lets them sit on shelves for profit's sake... Dang conglomerate...

My philosphy is the big corps follow the money. They are dependent on the money of average consumers. If you take the suv craze, when people started buying them, every car maker wanted a piece of the action so they came out with an suv model. I mean BMW and Cadillac have suv's. Wow! Thus, if people channel their money into fuel efficient cars and alternative fuels and AWAY from normal cars, the big auto makers will want a piece of that action and start making fuel efficient cars. Really the market follows the money, there's little point in putting faith in our government. They are bought and sold by big donors anyways. So it's up to the people. But I think Americans are too selfish and too stupid to produce a solution. So oh well...

Me, too! And forget gallons... they should invent a car that runs on spam or something. Spam seems like a renewable resource.
