I've been doing a little stream of consciousness style wandering through friends of friends LJ's and been reminded that there are many ways to use LJ. I've posted mostly links to articles of political or scientific interest to me. I've seen journals where people post nothing but unending series of those Quizfarm things. One person comments

The mundane details of one's life are best left to a day planner and a to-do list, but such trivia seems to be what most young adults chatter incessantly about on their cell phones, as well.

Blogs are what we choose to make of them. If you choose to relate significant events, subjective or objective, how can emotion be left out? How much you express depends on how courageous you are.

I was obviously not feeling terribly cynical when I post that, else I too would have made the point that perhaps young people are just much more likely to chatter incessantly and dramatize mundane minutae of their lives. ;)
