So, I've had the expansion pack for a couple of days. I must say that I am far more impressed than I expected to be. So far, at least. The Blood Elf starting area and the quests are noticeably more interesting than the original race's starting areas. I will leave India tomorrow having only been here long enough to get the barest impression of the country. I've left the hotel compound three times, which is more than most of the conference attendees, from what I can tell. Took off with several people to explore Panaji today. We followed a walking tour that was less notable for the landmarks than the various sights and smells along the journey. Sleet canceled my flight yesterday. After two hours trying to rebook, we're getting out today. I'm off to the airport again. My travel time v.s. time spent in India ratio is getting worse by the minute. Oh, and we're routing through New Dehli instead, and the hotel we're staying at was alternately rated as the best or worst on the planet. Hrm.

Leaving today for a conference in Goa. I'll be in email contact, as the conference is in a Marriott in a tourist-sanitized region of India. Still, I hope to break away from the conference for at least a day to get some sightseeing in. I'll update with some observations, and perhaps a picture or two, if it seems appropriate.

I saw a clip of Bill Clinton stumping for Jim Webb in Virginia, and I think he summed up the Republican campaign pretty well with this statement, and I'm paraphrasing slightly, "...they're (Democrats) going to tax you into the poor house.
