What are you living for?

May 01, 2006 22:37

An essay question, the most general but most meaningful I have right now.

Feel free to answer it if you want...

Suggestions include: love, hope for the future, your family, your friends, experiences yet to be experienced, or "I'm just getting by until I get out of this tiny little town."

Sounds like you could very easily combine all of those suggested topics in one essay!

Actually, how about just living because you CAN!

Either no one knows or everyone is too lazy to respond... Not that I can call you lazy bums, 'cause that'd be sort of hypocritical =)

Fine, I guess I'm living because of my family. They want me to be successful. I'm just rambling around aimlessly trying to find my success story, which I obviously haven't found yet.

I don't currently know what I am living for. I guess I am just living for the hell of it unti an answer comes along.

Let seeing the world only to explain it, to look down on it, be the buisiness of great thinkers. The only thing of importance to me is being able to love the world, without looking down on it, without hating it, or myself - being able to regard it and myself and all beings with love, admiration, and reverance. I am living to seek deeper understanding. Success may come in many forms, but the ability to understand the world around me and see the devine in the every-day would be enough for me. Isn't it enough to simply seek out the magic that exists in the world, even if it is never to be found?

It certainly seems like I've heard that somewhere, Theo.
Good answer, btw =)
