Ok, So last week, I was really sick and missed two of my American History Theater classes, both on the same day. It was a lecture and a discussion. Well, I got the excuse form from the Health Center and all that mumbo jumbo and I take it to my teacher and she tells me that she doesn't except it because everyone else who missed last week came in

Report her to the Dean of Students. Oh the wonderful thing about college is that you can do that and he can override her.

But before going that far maybe you should just go and have a sit down with her and explain how REALLY sick you were and that you had asked "classmate's name who you really didn't ask but who she'll never ask if you asked" to tell her you were sick and to tell you what you missed and they just didn't tell you to email the topic, they remembered everything else. And tell her you have never heard of Turbanian format (quite frankly, NEITHER HAVE I), and that you'd be perfectly happy and willing to do your citations using it, but you would need someone to teach it to you first, and be careful to note that you were NEVER TAUGHT IT IN HIGHSCHOOL AND THAT'S NOT YOUR FAULT.

eh the bitch prolly has tenure, and wont give a damn she doesnt know it and will point out the library has the resources. but i'd def second the tell her someone else caught you up but neglected to inform you about the format and emailing, they just said paper due, make sure you use citations. yada yada.

Eh teachers in college will be pricks sometimes BECAUSE THEY CAN. That bitch prolly has tenure so she doesnt have to worry about shit. But she's prolly just pissed that 5 or more people missed class last week, and of course she knows you wouldnt know the notation format or to email her, but she just wants to go hard on you. Its just how they are. Just in the future, this will teach you-ALWAYS email a teacher if you're going to miss a class. You have to ask them what you missed and tell them why you're not there and that you'll bring a note next class. Its absolutely redonkulous but sometimes that's what ya gotta do.
