I am Nancy Drew's Beth, always battling that last five pounds.

I'm adoring all these wondrous reading recs, and I have a thing for dystopias. Have you ever heard of the...ah, what was it called? The Uglies series? The Pretties series? Something like that. My sisters read them and they raved. I've been thinking of finding a librarythat's not USF unfriendly nearby and picking them up to check them out.

Also, why do you know about the mini workshop sessions and I do not? Please tell me more.

Yes! You must come to the workshops. Email Alicia about them. It's me and like...two or three other girls. We don't meet until the 19th I do believe, at 10 am at Kalesia. If you need her email, I can go retrieve it for ya. (Oh, we're emailing out first 10 pages out to each other by the 12th, so plenty of time to actually write something too!)

I have read The Uglies series. It wasn't bad at all. The concept was really interesting, as were the worlds, but it's written for younger YA, in my opinion. I have them all if you'd like to borrow. we could meet up for lunch and catch up!

On Saturday, was it? I'm glad I found out now before I changed my schedule at work. I am totally willing to give up Saturday mornings for this. ^_^ I'm pretty sure I still have her e-mail, so I'll go dig it up.

The 12th, huh? Guess I'll have to think about whipping something up. ^_^ Does it have to be YA, or can it be more adult-oriented?

Borrowing the Uglies sounds like a good idea to me. ^_^ And we really do have to do lunch (or something like that). You can tell me what you've done to fight off the dreaded pounds. Maybe you'll inspire me.

I'm pretty sure that it can be any genre. I'm just continuing on with my YA in the vain hope of finishing something.

What days are you one campus? Maybe we could grab lunch in between our classes and I'll bring you the Uglies.
