Seriously though - "all the promise and history and hope" are still there, Brad Pitt can't take it all (ooh - that sounds dirty) and still will be when its the right time for you to go back. You got a taste of NO, and now have another perspective with which to view tomorrow.

It sounds as if it is a time when you are needed to be a stabilizing force for your family here in SD. Know that if you need a break from being 'the rock' that there are those of us who are here for you to lean on if you need to.

Really sorry to hear about both the auto accident and the Arch Digest unwrapping. I can only assume from your presence here on LJ that you weren't seriously wounded, but anything minor to you or others? And I don't really know what to tell you about the AD and school and family and so forth.
