Kind of wondering about the scene where Woo is waving his gun and screaming though... is he doing that with the detective still leveling a gun on him? Is the detective alarmed by this? Does he fire?
Yeah, thats pretty much the idea. Woo is distracted by what is happening in the next room.
Even to the point where he ignores the gun brandishing officer.
This opening has been re-worked more times then any other part of the screenplay for exactly this reason. I've really had to struggle to make it as clear as possible. And only seems to really work for me.
Which is proably a sign I should just chuck and start over.
very choppy. erm... that's probably not a real term. Okay then, it's very "establishing shot-ish in a comic book sorta way." Kinda like the first Spawn comics, where you try to piece together all the characters and how they know each other.

Yeah this seems to the general response, its to cutty and jumbled up. To hard to follow the action in your head. So far its the only idea i've come up with to convey the information I want to.

I never read the Spawn comics, but I really liked the series on HBO for exactly the reason, its proably just me but I love being dropped in the middle of a story and having to piece the events out my self.
The best example of this however is Stephen Kings the Gunslinger in which you have no idea what the fuck is happeing for at least the first 80 pages and your not much closer to figuring it out by the end.
