I don't think you checkraise that flop. I'd have just called the $2. Then when the turn comes around, lead out.
This makes him put you on either a 2 pair (Q2) or trips, so he has to bet more predictably -- if he's on a draw, then you will slow him down or push him out. If he re-raises you, then you can fold quite much more comfortably here on the turn.
Also he made a small raise preflop, so he may have easily been on AA/KK trying to get you to play so he could get some $$ out of you.
