Tomorrow is White Day, so I decided to make something to bring into work, since I crapped out on Valentines day. I found a recipe for something called "Buccellati", which is apparently some kind of Italian cake. I altered the original amounts, since there's no way in hell I'm going to make something that uses 5 cups of flour when I don't even have

OMG those look so good. But how do you "zest" an orange/lemon? o.O Just cut it into small pieces?

Ahh, "zesting" a piece of fruit is another word for scraping the very top layer (in this case just the yellow part) of the skin off. They have special tools to help you accomplish this, but I couldn't find one so I just used a vegetable peeler. ^^;
