So, this week I quit. It's pretty awesome to think that I won't have to drag myself through classes like my CP tonight anymore!!! ha ha ha

hey that's awesome! that means that if you're in japan for at least another year i can possibly come to visit. and i'm glad to hear that you're getting happier.
How many teachers are at your school? In our former business, the turnover is frickin' insane, the managers better be trained to handle it! I told mine during the five minute break between classes, he took it like a pro.
Yeah, the area isn't so great and the air is REALLY dirty, but it's sooo convenient. That's the evil ploy of Tokyo, sacrificing well-being for convenience! (笑)
We only have 2 foreign teachers, which makes it impossible to get someone to take over a lot of my classes. It's crazy that your old company's turnover is so high when they have such a good reputation!
2??? We had 15, and we were one of the smaller branches! 日本橋 has close to 50, and even 横浜 has close to 40. Plenty of teachers stay a really ridiculously long time, but 2 years is the average time, I think. But it's hard to get hired, like 96% of candidates are rejected (according to my commercial, heh). So people are generally pretty smart and interesting.
Dirty air is better than Chinese prostitutes prowling the street (which you'd find in Kamata or Kawasaki).
Aeon's system runs a little different, I think. We're one of the smaller schools, but the biggest school in the country, Ikebukuro, only has 5 foreign teachers. Granted there's several full and part time Japanese teachers also, but the total number probably doesn't excees 10 or 15. This is why suddenly quitting at Aeon is a valid cause of stress for a manager!

I don't know.... prostitutes aren't too bad, and I'm actually kind of scared about the air and water in Tokyo. Plus, because the air is dirty we have to keep the windows shut and use the air conditioning, which is bad for your health and your skin. D:
Heh, I guess for reference, my ENTIRE apartment is probably almost the exact same size as the front room of my parent's house. When Laura came we had a REALLY hard time fitting two futons on the floor at the same time.

The new place is probably about 5 or 6 times bigger than where I'm living now, heh.
