For any mundane, non-critical one-on-one interactions with the scientist here, whether it be poking him for whatever reason, maintaining continuity, throwing him an item, or in general doing something that isn't momentous enough to require a whole post or log for it.

[Yep, pretty much guaranteed to fail.]

... Not if we have... a-assistance, I would wager. [To be fair, maybe somebody competent will help them...]

[Robert comes to a stop a few feet behind Link, looking into the shop itself.]

Well, I know a few engineers... [Derp. Well, if you count "my partner is one" as knowing.] P-Perhaps they would be good assistants...?

Magical date change gogogo! semper_cogitans August 9 2011, 20:06:14 UTC
[Robert nods slightly, smiling a little.] Yes, they are... essentially.

... They would be the ones most... s-suitable to looking towards creating mechanics, at least...

He doesn't, but his mun has the power of time alteration! semper_cogitans August 10 2011, 08:26:07 UTC
Ostensibly, p-perhaps...

[And now Robert is just going to look at the diagram. It's not exactly to scale obviously, which makes the OCD part of him cringe a bit, but it's a diagram. That's good and organized.]

I... I believe this is quite a good start, Link.

[He approves.]

How do you... s-suppose we employ this? Putting the foundations in first...?

Yes! \o/ semper_cogitans August 10 2011, 17:26:36 UTC
[This all sounds like work Robert is going to suck at. Yay, physical labour! But at the same time, it might be good for him to, well... engage in physical labour.]

I assume we ought to begin the preparations sooner rather than later for the a-actual garden beds, then... but y-yes, that sounds satisfactory to me as well.

[He just... hopes there aren't going to be too many people. Now watch as half the village shows up.]

Certainly. I look f-forward to collaborating with you on this p-project, Link. [Robert smiles nervously, and offers his hand for a very tentative handshake.

It's a small, soft hand that looks like it has never seen any work anywhere near the difficulty of digging out garden beds.]

... Giles informed me that you a-also had others working with you... sh-should I speak to them as well? [He is not sure if want about that part.]

[Link's grip is a lot stronger than Robert's is, by far. It's a little surprising.]

I understand...resource a-allocation, of a sort. If... if there needs to be organization done, I would be... qu-quite willing to oblige.
