[...hey, Luceti?

You think you could go a week without snatching some of his friends? Giles would really appreciate it right now.

He runs. He doesn't make it, but he runs as soon as he realizes just what he's seeing. When he makes it to the apartment, there's nothing there but clutter and mess and ruin.

...he turns off the coffee filter and starts cleaning up. And he can't help but feel a few faint stirrings of pride as he sees the damage. He remembers how he'd seen Don move to within inches of winning, however briefly. He remembers Robert's voice, before the droids silenced him. There was strength there, real strength. Especially between the two of them.

He's proud of you, Robert. Giles just wishes he could realize as much under better circumstances.]

[ Helios shares the sentiment. Just one week without having to see those he cares about not taken, and not be able to do anything to help them would be nice. But that's Luceti ever the changing and unpredictable world.

He arrives a few minutes later out of breath and trying to regain it as he walks inside. He just silently surveys the damage frowning as he makes his way towards Giles. Of all the people to take...and his barrier...it did nothing to help.

They never make it in time, no one ever does, but he is proud of Robert's determination in the face of such danger. The only thing he can do is wait and keep an eye out for the other. He'll bend down and pick up the other's fallen glasses cleaning them before putting them on the counter top. ] Robert...

They'll be back.

[The journals soon follow, dusted off and closed and set next to the glasses.]

We'll, um, we'll keep an eye out.

They will be.

[ A sigh as he looks around the messy room. But he nods in confirmation looking back at Giles with a somber look. ]

Of course. It's all we can do, for now. [ And when they return give them as much support as possible. ] W-We should finish cleaning up then, just...just for when they get back.

No!

[Leo knew that sound all too well. It was one that he'd been glad he hadn't heard in months. Being in the house though, he's in time to join the fight. He manages to take a couple of the bots out.]

You're not taking them! [But thee bots aren't giving him a choice either. They know his weak spot too, and soon he's out. But unlike Don and Robbert, he's left behind.]

Donatello!? Robert- damn it, no-!

[Mulder knows it's too late, there's nothing he can do. But he hates that helpless feeling, and not for the first time does he wish he could find some way to infiltrate their base of kidnapping operations. At least he'll now be able to remind Robert how secretly badass he really is, someday... he can only hope that return happens sooner than not.]

...I'll keep watching for you.

[It's the sounds of fighting that draw Grune's attention to the journal. She doesn't know Don, but when she catches glimpses of someone else, she asks:] ...Robert?

[When Don goes down, she drops her journal and leaves the house, not even stopping to pick up her urn. House 55 isn't all that far from House 34, but of course, by the time she arrives, she's far too late.

She'll clean up whatever Giles and Helios have missed, and then go out to search for fall wildflowers. Later, she'll return to leave them in a jar to welcome the two of them home.]

[Sometime well after the others...]

Robert? Damn... Donatello too I suppose.

[At which point if neither respond in five minutes, she's going to sneak over to their place, break in, and try to clean it up. It's not much, but at least it's better than having to return to a mess. It's the least she can do she figures.]
