The day is colder than Claire can ever remember being and when the barista hands her a cup of white hot chocolate, she wraps her fingers around it and leans closer to the steam coming out the top. *Snow grins and shifts her own parcels to accomodate the drink*

Macy's first, it's popular for good reason and it's better to get there early before the after-work crowds start in. We should probably hit a bookstore after that -- I know a good one that isn't far from there. After that, a break and drop off our parcels somewhere to keep them from slowing us down. . .

*She's in marathon shopper mode. Fear.*

"Macy's then," she grins and takes a sip of her drink as they join a small group of people clamoring to get inside the department store.

"Children's department first? I suspect that's the one that'll take us the longest."

*A nod, and Snow takes a long sip of hers. Better to be caffinated for the small battle, also better not to have your cup too full when in the thick crowds*

Of course. I'll grab a cart for us, you check the directory. . . I've never needed to visit that department before.

Claire scans the directory board, making a mental note of both the lingerie and the kitchen departments, in addition to the children's clothes and toys.

When she catches up with Snow again, the crowd has thinned enough for them to maneuver their way to the escalator.

"Second floor," she says. "Seth's good on toys so don't let me buy him anymore. I tend to be very weak."
