And now, for the continuing off-duty misadventures of Squad 7! Today's episode features Salinas Milton, Freesia York, and a certain mobile instrument of destruction liberation!

After Squad 7 regrouped at the base camp in Vasel, Salinas went over to the R&D room to get a closer look at the Edelweiss. He was just as surprised as anyone else to see a mechanical marvel that could drive through the water and emerge from it without any rusted parts.

"My, you are one sexy beast," he said, running a gloved finger across the treads. "What would it take to let me give you a ride?"

Unbeknownst to him, Freesia was standing on the other side of the tank, having just finished an intense workout with the other scouts and in little mood for chit-chat.

"Hey!" she grumbled. "Were you talking about me just now, or the tank?"

Never one to pass up the opportunity to speak with a beautiful woman, Salinas feigned surprise at seeing her. "Well, uh...I was just inspecting the Edelweiss, you see, and I wanted to find out how it got across the river. I was going to ask Isara, but she got called to the Captain's quarters."

"Sure, Sal-pal. I believe you."

Freesia managed a slight smirk after catching her breath. She could always make an exception for Salinas. "So, what was it that you wanted from me?"

"Now that you asked-" he paused to inspect the Edelweiss from afar "-how do you think you'd feel about driving around in one of these babies?"

"Come on, Sal," said Freesia. "Of course I would. I'm a girl of the desert, after all. A machine like this would save me a ton of time and energy...not to mention keep my shoes and uniform from getting overly dusty."

"Then let's see if we can talk the captain into readying another tank so that you can show me your stuff."

"Whoa! Let's not get ahead of ourselves here. I mean, I love the idea, but maybe we should leave the tank work to Welkin and Isara for now. They'll let us know if they need a break."

Salinas began to walk away, disappointed. "Yeah, I guess you're right."

When she was confident that he was a safe distance away from the hangar, Freesia leaned against the tank and attempted to climb inside. "And when they do decide to rest...they know the one girl to call."
