Title: Whiskey and Wine
Pairing: ohmiya
Summary: He came on a summer's day, bringing gifts from far away, but he made it clear, he couldn't stay; no harbor was his home.
Notes: For Nino's birthday. Heavily inspired by the song Brandy by Looking Glass.

( It's times like these, as Nino walks along the half dead streets late in the night, fingering the gold chain around his neck, that he wonders why exactly he has taken to living in a dock town, especially with how much he hates the ocean. )

OH MY GOD, YOU!

Now I'm thankful you didn't update last Monday because I wouldn't have been able to study! It's kind of sad that there's no reassurance for both of them. There's an understanding that they're together, but for how long? Will Ohno one day stop in a foreign land, meet a different person, and have that person come on a journey with him? Will Nino one day get tired of waiting and settle down with some he can spend every waking day with? It's sad. And yet they hold on. Because the possibility that maybe it's going to work out still exists.

I'm glad you liked it. It's probably the most depressing thing I've ever written but .. well, there really wasn't a way to make them happy. :(

1) I totally heard this song on the radio the other day and thought "Huh, that would make a great ohmiya fic" XD So glad it was you that wrote it ♥

2) This is the first chance I've had to say: I LOVE your fics. All of them. I'm pretty sure I read everything on your master list in one day, and then I read most of them over again ♥ So it's always really exciting to see something new from you, and I'm definitely looking forward to more Agent 22 whenever the inspiration strikes you :)

That is exactly where this fic was born: I was riding to the airport when the song came on and, while singing along at the top of my lungs (as one does), I had the same thought. And then I had 7 hours of traveling and there you go. :)

Apparently a few people thought Ohno died. I guess I'm tricker than even I'm aware of. But I'm glad you liked it. It's kind of bittersweet but I guess it works... ♥
