So the two events that have happened since last we met are these:
>So Curtis' party was too much fun. And by too much fun I mean it was fun enough that it made me realize how much I'm going to miss him. It was one of those weekends that you steal from time and when it's over you look at it and say "well, these things can't last forever, but at least it happened" It's the 2nd time since me and Curtis broke up that I've been at ease around him. Everyone was relaxed and happy, Laurel was there and it didn't bother me in the least and I don't think I bothered her. It seems like we're finally back to square one.
The actual events of the weekend included an all day long party/karaoke fest in which Curtis' dad Lucky was hilariously drunk. And towards the end of the night we did some Guster karaoke. The next morning, I switched to Kelsey's car instead of Mondy's so I didn't have to leave until 5 or 6 which meant that Curtis got to take his "harem" to church and then downtown to "Tower City" (we called ourselves a harem because there were five women and Curtis, even the priest joked about it). We walked around that place for a while (it's pretty much a big mall in a tower) and browsed the toy store, then went outside to walk around and stopped at this place called "The Winking Lizard" for lunch. Best pizza I have had in a very long time if not ever. Then we went back to tower city, went to FYE to get some CDs and DVDs and then hopped on the train to head back to Curtis' house and then set out for home. It was sad to leave and everyone got progressively more quiet the closer it came to being time to leave (especially Curtis) but though the departure was sad, it was a good time.
During the trip and on the way home I became much closer to Kelsey and Kat two girls that worked at the movie theatre with Curtis (and thus I was one of the only ones that knew them) because we left so late and missed our exit, I stayed the night with Kelsey and Kat and Kelsey invited me to stay with her for a few days before my externship starts so I'll be in Kalamazoo starting Sunday night/afternoon. That's all for that really. So uh...
and
So I couldn't convince Curtis to come with me so I went with my Dad.. which was... not as lame as it sounds. First of all, he paid for everything, the tickets, the slurpee I had, and my concert t-shirt. The shirt is pretty friggin awesome, it's the "Ganging Up On The Sun" logo on the front and tour dates on the back. They played brilliantly, definitely the best concert I've ever been to, hands down and probably the best I'll be at for a while (unless I see Vienna which will be apples to oranges anyway). They played almost all the songs I wanted to hear including Barrel of a Gun, Happier, What You Wish For, Come Downstairs and Say Hello and Fa Fa. They played almost every song on their new album but nothing from Parachute and only two from Goldfly. Anyway, my dad had almost as much fun as I did, watching idiot drunken girls, meeting up with a childhood friend and he actually really enjoyed the music and asked me to make him a CD or two.. so I guess Guster's not just for kids anymore!
So now that those two events are over, I have tomorrow and Friday to prepare for my externship, Saturday to hang out with Eric and co (possibly Nick?) and Sunday to make sure I'm finished packing before I leave for Kalamazoo. Then hopefully beach time at Kelsey's on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday before I start my externship and leave for Toronto on Wednesday afternoon. Then from there it's externship until Sept 4th, 7 days of bustling and then the following Saturday, dorms open and school starts on Monday. With auditions that Tuesday it looks like I won't have any more breaks until Winter but that's okay with me as I've had more than enough already.
Alright well, time to make a packing list for externship and go to bed.
Peace
