Oh dear, I haven't done a full collection update in a long time..... Got a bit distracted by school and then summer slacking. I've gotten a lot of what I want, but I do still have things coming in here and there. Always on the hunt ^^
Very happy to see growth in both my Pokemon AND non-Pokemon collections. They're starting to get a little crowded now, though...
I think the collection with the most growth for this update would have to be my Absol collection. Lots of nice, new additions there. Which is great, because Absol is my most favorite <3
I'm so pleased to have finally gotten the pearl TFG Absol to complete my set. They look so pretty together <3
I'm still not sure what's going on with the odd discolored patches on my clear movie-edition Tomy Absol, but I like that it makes him unique and gives him a bit of character.
I was really on the fence about picking up an Absol zukan because it looks really derpy in a lot of the image of it that I saw online, but I saw one for a good price and there was a distinct zukan-shaped hole in my collection, so I decided to go for it. It was a good call. It looks much better in person than in images. I don't understand how it has so many bad angles, but from the right one, it looks great.
My favorite new Absol item in the lenticular card. It just catches the light like no other I've ever seen and just comes to life. It may be that it's semi-transparent and can get light shining through it to really give it a nice glow. This item is a MUST-HAVE for any Absol collectors out there. I just cannot believe how amazing it ended up being! If you look close, you can even sorta see the second image, which is always fun :3
The only new item here is the Pokemon catcher Zoroark. I'm a big fan of the tiny, tiny figures that still manage to look good. This one does that AND manages to ride a pinball while doing it. Outstanding :D
Here I managed to get not only one but BOTH of the Zoroark pressed pennies. I thought there was only the one at first and didn't discover the second one until a while after getting the first. It seemed much rarer, but thanks to a tip from a good friend, I was able to snag the second one as well. I think they look so pretty together <3
Nothing new here save for the sleepy Lucario figure. It's a unique and adorable pose for him, so I just had to add the figure to my collection. Not much to say beyond that other than that it's so adorable <3
And I'm still totally in love with that goofy, flat Pokechummy Lucario. It's the only plushie I've ever loved enough to want to own. Whose idea was this line of plushies, anyway? I need to hug them!
Not much new here either except for the Lucario pressed penny. Had to buy a rather large lot just to get this and another one. I love pressed pennies, though, so it was completely worth it :D
Lotta new Umbreon stuff! Got the gold and silver chous to complete my set. I think they go great together! Feels so lovely to have a full set of something ^^
Got a classic chupa Umbreon that needed a little TLC, but I cleaned him up and I think he looks quite good now. Very happy to have added him to my collection.
Am still totally in love with the complete Eevee line zukan set. It's got so much going on in so little space. It's just so fun to look at :3
And finally, got an Umbreon Pokebox medal that a very generous friend was willing to part with for me. These things are just so stunning. It's one of the only non-official items I currently have it my collection, and the quality is on-par or above all of the other items, official or not.
Not much going on in Honedge town, sadly. Honedge items have slowed down a lot and I haven't seen anything I really want. I still managed a full set of his metals, though, so I can't complain <3
Finally found a couple more Espurr items that I like! Both phone straps, even! The figure strap is quite nice. It's got all the detail I could possibly have wanted! Only thing about it that's really a shame is that it doesn't really stand up on its own. Although I know it was never intended to, I can still dream.
The charm from the pokepuff strap is nice, but was a bit disappointing in the quality department. I thought it would be made of cheap metal, but it's actually made of cheap plastic (and you can even see where it was snapped off after being formed). I would have really appreciated a little more quality, but I know it's a cheap item, and that may be asking too much.
I barely have any Espurr items, but I'm still dreaming about the day I can add a Tomy Espurr and a set of metal collection Espurrs to my collection. They would be so perfeeeect XD
Not much going on here, just a few random items I couldn't resist going after. The clear Dittochu is just the fakest thing ever, but it's cute and I love it. Saw it for a buck in a bin at an anime con and couldn't resist it.
And the sleepy Goomy came when I bought the full set of sleepy figures...and I just couldn't bear to part with it because it was just too adorable <3
Only new thing here is the community pathtag for this year. I love the idea of it and just had to have one to commemorate such a wonderful year of collecting!
And of course, there's still the Charizard. I like to go back to eBay and check on the value every once in a while just to assure myself that's it's still getting more and more absurd.
Just a collection of random things I like/prized items from my childhood. A fairly eclectic group of items, but I totally love them and most of them have a lot of sentimental value to me. Managed to complete some of the sub-collections and make good progress on the others since my last update :D
Still a relatively small collection, but Renamon figures are pretty tough to find. I'm very happy that I managed to find two new ones, finally expanding my collection a little. The one on the base actually still came packaged with its original, ~15 year old candy. It had basically just turned to dust! So that was both fun and horrifying to see :D
I love Lego, the Lego movie, and the character of Unikitty. I just had to get all the Unikitty figures I could get my greedy little hands on! And I've finally managed to get the full set (minus the super ugly green one). I was even lucky enough to get a set of the extremely limited Comic Con exclusive ones!
New this update are the sitting Unikitties and the super angry Unikitty. I really enjoy the new sitting body they gave her. They could have totally just gone with the same body on new heads, but they didn't and I think it was a great move. Adds more variance to the figures, which is always welcome. I'm not sure there are any more variant faces they can add, though. This might be all of them, finally and I'm happy to have them all ^^
Finally managed to complete my BMO minifigure collection! The sitting BMO from the short-printed alternate test version of the Jazwares Jake figure proved quite hard to track down, but it was totally worth it. He's the only one that has no trouble standing up. The other ones all need to be propped up from multiple angles. I don't think they were very well thought-out >.>
The rare infected mask from the old series one Bionicle figures (on a custom made base) alongside a super-limited 2013 Excel gum contest prize donut mascot USB. They....don't really go together in any way at all, but I like them both for their own reasons. The USB required an epic hunt, spanning over a year, to get. It culminated with an in-person pickup where the seller was super surprised that I wasn't a girl. It was quite amusing X3
On the left, is a fairly rare Yugioh color test card in secret rare rarity. I had always wanted one because of how pretty they are, so when I finally got the chance to pick one up, I totally couldn't resist ^^
On the top right side is a mine battle chip from the english version of the ill-fated Megaman Battle Network physical game. I love the game series and have many fond memories of playing it with my friends in the hot summer sun. That was my favorite chip in the game and I didn't even know a physical version existed for the longest time. I was just lucky enough that the first one I saw was for sale. I don't know that I could ever find another one. Beside it is a limited edition coin from being one of the first in line to attend the Smashfest event that was held in the summer of 2014. I actually waited in line to get mine. I was second in line and arrived about....8 hours before the event to make sure I got my coin. This was about 7 hours earlier than I needed to. It was a very long day, but it's fun to look at the coin and remember <3
On the bottom right side is a.....panther guy (I dunno his name) casette tape transformer. It was one of the first I ever got and I always had a special fondness for it. It was just so simple and compact and remained my favorite throughout the years. Beside it is a clear pink jaws crazy bone. At my school, when these were popular, this was the most popular crazy bone and clear ones were the most sought-after. It's interesting to think about now that this little piece of clear plastic was such a huge status symbol for a little while. It reminds me of days when everything was so much simpler.
And that's the current state of my collection! Thanks for taking a look ^^ Feel free to check out my wants if you'd like to help my collection grow and think you've got something I'd be interested in. I'm always looking for that next item to add!
