I must ask, but how exactly does an online trade work if we're trading physical objects from far away?

It's based on a trust system. You have to be a trusted member of the community before you can trade, though, so it works out.

I'm saying how does this work. Like, do I send the item to you and then you trade it for the item I want from you?

Generally how it works is that we both send our items at the same time.
