The apartment...was tiny. It would probably be tiny even if Chad wasn't so large and a good deal of space wasn't being used for CDs, music systems, and his guitar. It was even tinier than the apartment he had in Japan, and a lot more expensive, too, and so Chad was spending some time wondering if it might not have been better to take up a summer

Because there were new people, and fun things, there was calling Chad. Promises were made!

Well, there was one good thing about a small apartment noticeable right off the bat. When you misplaced your phone, there weren't a lot of places it could go to, so it was a little easier to find.

"Moshi moshi?" he asked when he answered it, still habitual after all these years.

"Chad? It's me!" Dinah kind of assumed he recognized her voice, but said, "Dinah!" anyway. "How is New York City?"

"Oh, hey, Dinah," Chad said, even more surprised because he hadn't expected her to call so soon, but it was definitely a nice surprise. "It's good." He looked around. "Smaller'n I expected. How's camp? It's your first time doing Fandom camp, isn't it?"
