The whole American philosophy that you'll go nowhere without hardwork, like humans are some sort of plow mules, is complete bullshit...
Naturally this philosophy is applied to highschool in a most bitter manner...week long projects consume your life and instead of learning, your working...hard and long...
something needs to change in the school system...and they definitely need to start "teaching"
I couldn't take school anymore, so I dropped out...I tested out of english...and now I'm taking 3 random online classes for my deploma...start college in Jan...
this break from stress/shit...is not only resting my brain...but accelerating my college life :) look into it...
