Fic kink meme
So I found this on starcrossed_sky 's journal and was amused so here I am. Please note that these are my kinks for fanfic and not real life. I'm totally vanilla in the real world /is boring.
Although if you read it as what my personal kinks are, it becomes pretty hilarious. And disturbing.
TENTACLES:
Uhm. Maybe? Sometimes? They can be gross and creepy, but they can also be lots of fun.
Creature fics:
Not sure what this is. Furries are sometimes okay if they're done tastefully. Shapeshifting is cool. No beastiality, it creeps me out.
Mpreg:
While there's an exception to everything, generally... no. Not at all.
Slave, BDSM, S/M:
Slave: No. Drastic, long-term power differences are a turn-off for me. Especially when it's forced.
BDSM: I don't really dig leather. >.> Definitely for light bondage, though, and also for whips yay. (That said, I know real-world BDSM is all about the trust I watched that episode of Dollhouse and I think that's cool. It's just too much for me.)
Sadomasochism: Not intense stuff, but hey if they like it a little rougher than the average bloke, why not?
Age Difference:
I prefer a smallish age difference, although it depends on the age of the characters. (5 years = not a big deal between 35 and 40. Huge deal when it's 15 and 10 whut.) Exceptions are exceptions, though, and I'll admit to being a Loveless fan.
Bloodplay:
A little, esp. when it's kinda a character thing, but I'm really creeped out if it's a lot of blood
Underage (loli/shota/chan):
I feel like "underage" and "loli/shota/chan" are different things. I don't mind characters at about 16ish having sex but below that and I start getting antsy. Even Allen's pushing it with 15. Road's not even allowed to have sex cuz she might be, like, 40 but she looks like she's 13 or 14.
Crossdressing/Genderswitch:
I'm not a big fan of genderbending fics (although there are exceptions!), but men crossdressing as women is fun. And I don't mean this "He put on a dress and that's it and he's all pretty now!" bullshit. That bastard has to put some effort into it. I want him to find a nice corset, some sexy stockings, do his hair nice and really work on that make-up. Most fic writers don't really seem to appreciate crossdressing as a visual element. They just go, "YAY! DRESS!" and call it good. /sulk
It's even better if the boy isn't crossdressing for another boy, but for a lady. /would love
Dub-Con (dubious consent) & Non-con:
I'm currently having a moral dilemma here. While I have no issue with reading non-con, me and my feminist self got to talking the other day about writing non-con. Cuz, see it's read as porn (although not always intended as such) so even if your story is focusing on the trauma of being forced into a non-consensual situation, you're still glorifying the idea of rape/molestation. So... it's completely contradictory, right? You're sayinng, "This is terrible--now wank off to it". I don't care if other people write it (and I'll probably still read it), but I'm looking at the fic I'm writing now and wondering what to do because I feel like all the details of what happen actually deepens the understanding of the trauma, but then... And also it's for the dgm kink meme, so I must give anon what anon wants. /ramble.
I don't know. Dub-con and non-con are interesting to read and fun to write and I'll admit that (as long as it's only fiction) it can be hot. But this whole feminism thing has been dragging me down. Srsly.

Only if it's Cyril/Tyki. But they're Noah and normal rules just don't apply to them. Also totally ship selfcest (yay Deke/Lavi).

Nope. If only because it ends up being cliche and usually OOC.
Self harm/attempted suicide:
Although these are usually godawful, there are some really good ones out there and they deserve kudos. Still, I prefer less theatrical angsty goodness.
Rimming/fletching:
Uh. No. Anilingus just makes me gross out about the bacteria and you're putting your tongue into all of that. It can't taste good. kthnxbai.
Fisting:
Between ladies, sure. Not so much between the boys or het couples.
Addictions/disorders:
I find addictions and drug use to be a big turn-off, so no. I find mental disorders to be extremely interesting (was a psych major for a reason), so as long as it's well-researched and well-written, yes please.
Torture/violence:
I like a bit of torture as a component of sadomasochism (that is, the one receiving the torture is actually turned on by it and it's not super-intense stuff), but torture for the sake of torture not so much. If it plays as a plot point, it's okay, though. Violence is also fun. Yay for violence turning into rough (not always hate) sex.
Toys:

Uniforms:

If it's well-written and actual attention is paid to the fact that two things in one hole = lots of lube and stretching. Also time and patience. Or ow. (And even then, ow, but less ow.) One in two different holes is good

Between the boys, sure. Not so much between the ladies and the straight people.

Bondage is cool, but I prefer it to be light. No collars, thanks, and chains are a little too much for me. Ropes and handcuffs are cool as are clothing and common accessories (scarves, belts, etc.)

Gunplay freaks me out cuz OMG WHAT IF THE SAFETY IS OFF AND YOUR FINGER SLIPS?! But I can also see it working in the case of noncon/dubcon. I'm mostly okay with knife play, as long as it doesn't get too rough.
Drugs or intoxication:
No to drugs, but I'm fond of the idea of drunkenly making out/groping as long as it's between two consenting parties (as much as you can consent when you're drunk). Not big on drunken sex, though.
Language kink (accents etc):
Yes to accents and languages! ♥
Squick fics:
I feel like I don't understand this one. Don't people say, "Don't read this if X squicks you"? so what is a squick fic? Written purely for the intent of making people uncomfortable?
I would also like to ask why the heck no one uses condoms in fanfic? It's not as big a deal between the boys, but when they're with a lady all I can think is, "Wait, are you really trying for little babies already?" Doujin are even worse. I don't think anyone's even heard of lube...
