Well, I had the last of my five I.V. steroid treatments yesterday. My function (and, by "function," I mean not stumbling around like a toddler) DOES seem slightly improved, although my neurologist never said how long the full effect would take or how long it would last. So does this mean you are going to be on a steriod regimen for the duration of your symptoms or are they going to look to another medication like Copaxone to stave off further incidents? Am I jumping the gun here?

Yes, I have a friend with MS- I don't know and drop random drug names.

We still don't actually know if it's MS; that what the spinal tap is to determine. The neurologist said, after my MRI, that it was "probably" in the MS "family," so I'm assuming he was just being prophylactic in putting me on the Solu-Medrol (btw, being off the stuff is at least as freaky as being on it).

P.S. I think you should find a little person to dance around the table during the lumbar puncture and see if Laurie can somehow get caught inside a giant cocoon-like structure at the same time.
