deck

I am going to need to give the town drawings for my deck project..........I've been putting ideas down in solidworks, but at some point am probably going to need someone who can sign drawings to get involved........ any suggestions????

i *think* the folks who did the site plan for my house in prep for the porch were bradford engineering, up in haverhill or thereabouts. i can't find copies of the drawings offhand, though, so i'm not absolutely sure of that.

they were reasonable to work with, though. i don't know if they do exactly what you need, tho.

I'm pretty sure there wasn't an architect's chop on the plans for a certain major porch rebuild in Somerville. Might be useful to try the building inspector and see what will fly...

In S'ville you don't need your drawings signed for a deck, even a multi-story deck on a multi-family house. Here decks do, generally, have to be built by licensed contractors, as they tend to crash off houses and kill a party full of people with alarming frequency. Check the regs on that where you live.
