some days i wonder what would happen if you just built it. i mean, the permit process is so slow, and construction can go so quickly with the right crew, that you could have it up over a weekend.

Forgiveness vs. permission and all that...

My neighbors just had to tear down a garage that was put up 20 years ago in order to sell their house.

Probably, I will have to go through the permitting process several times (even, evidently, just to get my ailing gas water heater replaced), so I will be curious to see how your permit process grinds along.
