Concern, worry, relief... and there was the simmering anger.
"Coffee, then you can yell at me?" There was a soft note of pleading in her voice. "And, I didn't plan for it to happen. I really didn't."
But she had been downtown to do some research and there had been a vision and then the emotions of the people...
"I'm okay. Barely even hurt."
She would have said not even hurt to anyone but Cole. She would never lie to him like that -- and he knew that fighting caused her to bruise and he would see them later.
