This chapter is set in the same time frame as the previous one. I'm a little behind on writing, what with trying to get into college and on campus, but I should have everything sorted out soon, and be back to writing in no time.

Mamoru met Rei that night at their usual location; blocks from either of their houses, she join him in his car. She wasted no time in kissing him, for she never wasted time. He stopped her before she could get too carried away, though. There was information he needed from her. He considered getting it after he had gotten her sex, but she had a tendency to leave him weary, and he needed to be able to focus on keeping the peace between them. She was too good for him to give her away over something that might be nothing.
"Rei." She leaned away from him, hearing the seriousness in his tone. She knew he meant business. She didn't respond, so he continued, "you're friend, the one I met today, who is she?"
"I told you who she was; she my friend. Usagi." She leaned in to kiss him again, but he held up his hand to stop her.
"I know she's your friend, Rei. I'm also aware of what her name is. I want to know who she is to you."
"I have no idea what you mean." Rei was begining to get aloof. He had to change tactics if he was going to get her to speak to him openly.
"Rei, how long have you know her?"
"A long time."
"Longer than the rest of your friends?"
"Why do you need to know? I thought we had an agreement, Mamoru."
"Answer me, Rei. I pay your bills, never forget that. How long have you known Usagi-san?"
Reluctantly, she did as he said. "All my life. She's my best friend."
So why, then, had you not introduced me to her as you did the rest of your friends, Rei?" She opened her mouth to respond, but he continued. "And you said that you've known her all your life, but she's only thirteen, and you're seventeen. Not many people have best friends four years younger than themselves Rei." Rei was caught, and she knew it, but he kept talking, leaving her no space to defend herself. "You've been in the streets lying to dangerous men. Lying WITH dangerous men. Do your friends know what you do, Rei? Does your Usagi know?"
Rei had had enough. She was being judged again, and she never liked that. "None of them knows, and none of them will find out. Especially not Usa. Don't try to play games with me Mamoru. I know where you live, I know where you work, I know where you go to school, I know your car, I know your weaknesses. You can try me, but I will win.
"Now, do you want to continue, or shall I see someone else tonight?" She looked at him cooly, despite the anger and slight fear she felt inside. If Mamoru were older, he would have called her bluff, but he was still young, still a child himself, and no matter what he though, he was afraid of Rei.
He had come this far, found out what he wanted to know, mostly, and had his money in his pocket. He couldn't drink, and there was only one other thing he would ever want to spend his moeny on.
"You're with me, Rei. You will never need anyone else. With that, Rei got what she had been looking for as well.
Her money.
