we took a trip to some of former yugoslavia (slovenia, croatia, montenegro, bosnia-herzegovina) last september. for some reason i've been avoiding getting my photos rounded up and prepared for viewing. i think i felt like the magic would slip away from me if i looked at them, like they were a far away memory ( Read more... )

I'm actually one of those people who enjoys vacation photos. Aside from that, I have spent time in Riyeka and Krk. (I took a bus to Krk, and I nearly got motion sick, as it drove along those twisty curves.) It would be fun to see how it's changed.

we didn't get to any of the islands. definitely next time!

there's an INFOCUS program that does coastlines of europe (by helicopter) and they went down the coast of croatia and showed the islands. simply STUNNING!

i know a woman from hvar that coached me a bit before we left but we had no chance to go there. :/

I have never left the mainland of America, and I probably never will.

Ooops, that's not correct, I have been to Ketchikan, Alaska 3 times. I flew over Canada, maybe?

Anyway, I love to see other countries!
