I hate Vigenere cipher, btw.  I went through a stupid message twice, and the damn thing didn't make sense, and by twice, I mean I had to go through the entire keyphrase twice.

Vigenere is polyalphabetic and wholly dependent on the key phrase.  A great example of letting the system be known, but keeping your own secrets.  Here is the table.
