For those who don't know I've been battling a MRSA infection for 9 months and for the last 4 months, it has been severe. The medical profession is just now starting to take it seriously.
Owie! Have you tried taking turmeric? It's supposed to be good for inflammation in general (it seems to help me), and I read a while back that it was specifically good for MRSA.
I haven't tried it specifically, just as part of the Indian food I crave once in a while - I'll have to see about it. Am also going to try tea tree oil starting next week (if my current antibiotic doesn't help). I am on the last oral medication, after this it's IV Vancomycin and if that's no help - surgery.
i'm kind of thinking i also have the MRSA. in the hospital they had put me on Vanco and it didn't do any good. what type of surgery can they do for MRSA?
good luck and i know this was a year ago so i hope it cleared up for you!
Thank you for the healy thoughts! You may be right about the iron infusion. I got the rash after I went to the hospital for the infusion instead of my regular doctor's office (as it was being remodeled at the time). I thought the rash was just an allergic reaction to a blanket I used there.
Thanks for the hugs :) I'm holding my own - haven't had an ER visit in a couple of weeks now. Sounds like things are going well for you (woo hoo on the new boy)!
