This isn't to dissuade you , actually sort of the opposite, more so you know what to expect to succeeded. I know people who have started their own business and all of them work more hours have less holiday time and less time for other things than those who are employed by others. They do have more freedom in some ways as they are their own boss, but when you are your own boss you can be rather hard on yourself, you always know when you are goofing off and the buck stops with you. I guess what I am saying is starting your own business is great, but if you are doing it to have more free time and wan't to make enough to live on I think you are going to be disappointed ( ... )

As the child of two parents who each own their own business I feel the need to restate the first point: if you want to work for yourself, work to be your own boss. If you want to run your own business so you can do it your own way, make a plan and do it. If you want to be your own boss because you want stability or flexibility... that's not a feasible/realistic reason to start your own business ( ... )
