How rewatching Choujin Sentai Jetman changed my mind on Gai Yuki.

A while back I made a post where I gave my personal rankings for the ten Super Sentai series that I'd seen up to that point, and I ranked Choujin Sentai pretty low in large part due to my then intense dislike/hate for Gai Yuki. Um, okay?

Mind you, I have a lot of issues with early Jetman myself (and yeah, I do my best to ignore the Kaori/Gai thing, that was there just to add ot the ~drama~), and I'm still surprised you haven't touched on the Big Thing that happens in ep 31-2, since that's pretty much what transforms everyone from being selfish in their own ways/values to real heroes.

Yes, 32 was, like Gai said, the real start of the Jetman team; seeing Gai grow up a bit and Ryu overcome his nervous breakdown was definitely very nice and the show did get rid of a lot of the garbage that had been dragging it down. Pacing got much better too.
