"Oi, what are you doing here?" Shotaro asked when you walked in the agency. "Is there another case you got?"
"No, smart one," you said. "Can't you tell that it's White Day today?"
"Oh, White Day," Shotaro said, standing up to get a book. "So?"
"Why don't you take me out to the amusement park, Shotaro-kun?" you asked, sitting down on the bed in the corner. "Today's your day off, right?"
"All right, I'll go with you," Shotaro said, sitting back down. Instead of getting an enthusiastic reply from you, you just sat there without saying a word at all. "What? Is there something wrong with my face, or my hair?"
"No, but I would expect you to say it in your usual 'hard-boiled' way," you said. He thought about it for a moment. "What? You can't be cool around me?
"No."
"Why?"
"I don't know. Let's see, I'm always hard-boiled to somebody I like..."
With that, you stormed out of the agency.
"Oi, [Name]-chan, I didn't say that I didn't like you!"
