prompt: Clay/Gemma: Getting together behind JT's back
This ain’t no disco, this ain’t no fooling aroundGemma’s pretty sure she’s supposed to feel guilt. There’s something about the empty blackness of three in the morning that just lends itself to that particular emotion, but as much as she tries it on, she just can’t make it fit. Sure, the ring that’s on her finger wasn’t put there by the man that’s a softly snoring heap in the bed beside her, but she’s fairly sure that at this point in the game, that doesn’t even matter anymore

This is perfect. I love how she feels like she should feel guilty, but doesn't, that rings very true for Gemma. I'm so happy someone wrote fic about these two. :D

I love how you have Gemma seizing control of an otherwise precarious situation here, that's just so very her. And how aware she is of John's infedility and what that means for her. Also, of course power and adoration are as one for Gemma. And that little nod at the end, to Gemma's involvement in JT's death! Yes. So nicely done and in character.

These two fascinate me. They really make me want to see how JT and Gemma were together, what led up to it all.

Thanks so much, I'm glad you liked it. They're a pair that fascinates me, but that I've always been leery of writing!

Shit, for that matter, I miss the Clay of About accepting love where it’s offered this line, too.
Anyway. Excellent stuff, bb.
