At the baseball game last night, they did a news update between one of the innings to announce that Georgia has the lowest SAT scores in the country. The test may not be the end-all of measuring education, but Alabama took the same test and did better. It was just a very odd setting to make the announcement (should we cheer?). Friday Holly, Sarah and I went to see Pirate's of the Caribean. It was OK-- quite a bit longer than necessary though. I did like Depp's version of a pirate. I've been in a bit of livejournal hibernation. Last week I spend mostly on the road. Holly and I drove to LaFollette, TN via state roads-- we stopped and played mini golf and saw a few attractions. You've all seen the ankle injury. I had to go to the ER last week in order for the insurance company to pay for the X-ray. I was told that my doctor (Dr. Monett) had been switched, so I went out to see my 'new' doctor -- who by the way has an office in Decatur -- its right outside the perimeter off of Wesley Chapel. I guess I should tell how I did this to my foot. I had the same injury ten years ago-- and did it exactly the same way. I was playing basketball with some kids. Normally the rule is I don't jump-- that would be unfair, but perhaps it would give a nice life-lesson. Anyway, the kid starts mouthin' off and braggin, so I jump to block the shot. I am actually dizzy from sneezing-- no apparent reason really, I just tend to sneeze a lot. It keeps my brain from falling asleep on me (well, sometimes). I remember why I don't get the paper here-- the letters to the editor are horrible. One letter asked why we didn't give MORE money to the wealthy, because then they'll create jobs.
