A book already on the shelf caught my eye as I was putting books up, because it had a colorful bookmark sticking out of its top. The book is called Be Afraid. Be Very Afraid and is a collection of "Scary Urban Legends." I pulled the book out to look at the cover, and saw a blurb by Orson Scott Card on the back that I feel I have to share. Yes, the TERROR is overwhelming! Far more scary than the stuffed baby (gruesome) or a body in one's bed (Gahhh!). I seriously question Card's inclusion of that one in the blurb, because it's just not that good a story. I think he just had to somehow slip in a strike to the jaw of those darn homos even in a two-line book-jacket blurb. The "gay roommate" story deals with rape fears, a perfectly legitimate concern, with a male as the victim:
