The other day a friend and I visited the Christ Church Picture Gallery. It was amazing as you could approach the paintings so closely as to really see the support and brushwork ( Read more... )

He certainly was...and, despite his 'appreciation', he sent us the long way around when we later realised that if he'd been in a more generous mood he could have allowed us to go straight across the quad out onto St Aldates. The side stepping was particularly sinister...

The thing is, I think it was more poorly expressed appreciation than harrassment, though it made me feel pretty uncomfortable. I don't think I could really complain.

Oh dear, that is such a shame. We went there last week with Greg's parents and luckily only met friendly staff!

It is beautiful, isn't it? We didn't have time to look around anything but the Picture Gallery, but just walking through the College was impressive. Hugs to you too xx
