A lot of Christians (not all, I know) argue that if God had created more life in the Universe, we would have been told. In my opinion, that's pretty arrogant as well. Why should we, subservient beings that we are, be informed of the intricacies of an all-knowing God's plan?
I think what it all comes down to is the arrogance of mankind.

Not only is it arrogant to believe that we are the only ones created in God's image, but also that if we weren't, that we would be told about it! Should an all-powerful God have to tell us if there were others like us? Why should He have to answer to us?
I believe that there is intelligent life on other planets. If you insist upon adhering to a purely Biblical point of view in this discussion, then I suppose I would say that I believe if God created other sentient beings than they are entitled to the same love that we are. Just because it wasn't laid out for us in the Bible, doesn't mean that God didn't have a little fun outside our tiny galaxy.
In my opinion, it's none of our business what an all-powerful God does with his free time. We're lucky He told us as much as He did.
