I have a good idea for a Mortals Venue in the New World of Darkness.

Does anyone play with just the Blue Books or does there have to be interactions with other venues? I want to try and simplify things.

Any input is good input.

I have not been able to get any straight mortal venue up and running. The people I talk to are unwilling to commit or not interested.

However, it is perfectly possible to run straight bluebook games without explicitly involving the other venues.

Alot of the interactions with the supernatural world are implied. The rat guy who talks to the investigator in the base book for example. It could be a beshilu, a man claimed by a rat spirit, a Lost of the Beast or Darkling Kiths, a gangrel of some obscure bloodline, or even some life form created and released by a mage.

I feel the key to the running a successful mortals only game is that the mortals never, ever should be 100% sure that the answer they come up with about what they are dealing with is right. Even if their tactics work against it.
