I know this sounds weird, but I really liked Lee Brackett in this story. And I like that he turned out to be not such a bad guy after all. Poor Blair had such angst, but the ending made up for it. It was an excellent read. I hope that Jim did indeed learn from all this. (I just know he did.) I really liked this story and all of the bad guy characters. YOu did a marvelous job on it.

Ms. 3: You did a fantastic job on the cover. I love your work. I find it soothing and relaxing. Perfect for this story.

Great job, girls. :)

Thanks, Patt, I'm so glad you enjoyed the finished project. It was fun working your ideas into mine, and hopefully the end result works for everyone! Also, thank you so much, Ms.3 for the great cover. I love the smug expression on Brackett's face ;)

I agree with Patt, Lee Brackett's machinations were fascinating. I also liked the roll that Jack Kelso played in the story. The story was fascinating from beginning to end. Great Job! I really enjoyed this.

Ms.3 your artwork was gorgeous. You caught the devilish look in Brackett, the somber expression in Jim's face, and the caring, open look in Blair.

Great Job writer and artist.

Great story, Kate! Lots of twists and turns, very involving! I always liked Brackett as a villain, and enjoyed his interactions with Jim and Blair, so it's great to see him given such a strong role to play in this. A very satisfying read! :)

Ms.3, your artwork is original and very striking.

Many thanks for your kind comment - I did try to reply before, but I don't think my 'anonymous' efforts always get through!

Whew, that was quite a convoluted and interesting story. I liked how you used Brackett, who might have less obnoxious had he not been so twisted by his CIA experiences. We did see that in canon he was truly interested in the sentinel and guide dynamic, so it was a natural extension that he might still want to explore their relationship, which you used really well here. If only they'd been able to give Mr. Black his comeuppance, that would have been icing on the cake. Good use of both canon and original characters.

Ms.3, I wasn't familiar with you work but I'm very glad you signed up so I could see and appreciate it. I love the expressions you gave to all three men, as well as the colors you used. You are so talented!

Brava to you both. Thank you for your offerings, I really enjoyed everything.

Mystery and angst and - well, just about everything to hold a reader's interest! And open-ended enough to allow for a sequel (hint, hint!) Great job.

Ms3, Nice work on the cover.

Ah ha! Now you come to mention it, there just might be a sequel, if I ever get around to it. I'll have to check with Patt :) Thanks for the nice comment, Sheila, and the beta also!
