How could this be? He was the one who created all those victories! Killing Clovis, getting the Japanese Liberation Front to join him, obtaining Gawain, all of the Elevens supporting him...

"Those are all mine!" Lelouch snapped.

He glared at the tall figure opposite him; clad in a dark cape, leather gloves and that black and blue mask.

"Hmph," Zero's voice echoed underneath the mask, "Your whole life has been a lie, has it not, Lelouch Vi Britannia?"

Lelouch gritted his teeth, "Even if it has, you're a part of me. You're the identity I assume to carry out my efforts!"

Zero laughed shrewdly.

"You don't get it, do you, Lelouch?" he reached up, the mask clicked and unfolded. "Without me, you would be nowhere. You would be dead," he removed the mask and Lelouch stared at Zero's face; an exact replica of his. "I am what you could never be. The wit, the charisma, the power..."

Lelouch waved an arm, his left eye flickering pink and the Geass symbol flashed.

"Shut up and die--" Lelouch froze as Zero disappeared. Where did he--?Long ( ... )
