But, I'm weird, so....
My friends have all rallied around me, almost too much. I mean it's great, but...I need to get work done, and most of them don't understand the words "I can't, I'm busy."
well, when my family and I still had some sort of relationship/communication, I had friends who were good for a couple of months and then ran off, but I had to do a LOt of work on myself. 2 years in counseling and a lot of checking my shit. then, I learned what a healthy friendship entails. So my suggestion is to really work on healing you and friends will follow, they may be the ones you have always had or new people might fall into your lap. Mine just fell into my lap. I hope the same for you. Good luck! Hopefully this makes sense too.

yes...healthy relationships require a lot of work on both sides. ugh. i'm learning this right now with a friend of mine. we're having issues, but the things in me that they are kicking up most are things i need to work on anyway. i am noticing though that the healthier i am, the better and more mutually beneficial my relationships are.
and unfortunately, feeling alone is something that no one can fix, friends, family, or otherwise. it's up to us to build and fill our lives with the things we love. of course, me saying that doesn't make it ANY easier, does it?
