Title: the real life application of lego and its downfalls
Fandom and Pairing: infinite, dongwoo/woohyun
Rating: g
Word Count: 200
Prompt/s Used: picture prompt
Summary: It is supposed to be this simple.
Warnings: n/a

They are Dongwoo’s Lego pieces but he keeps them inside the second drawer, untouched. They’re a collection, Dongwoo says but still Woohyun pours everything out to build with them because he likes the figurines. They are achingly innocent, with their even smiles and most enviably, they are always happy, all of them: the pirate, the soldier, the astronaut.

Most of the time: Woohyun thinks Dongwoo is like a Lego figurine.

Sometimes: Woohyun verbalizes this thought and every time it happens, Dongwoo just laughs.

Somewhere along the line: Dongwoo leans in to kiss Woohyun as he is building a world out of nothing but multicoloured blocks and even though Woohyun is surprised, he smiles into the kiss, fingers wrapped around a figure of an ordinary boy in a red shirt and blue jeans.

The en-no, not yet.

Dongwoo breaks up with Woohyun on a sunny afternoon. They have dinner plans. Dongwoo says he loves him, but he is not in love with him any more. “I don’t understand,” Woohyun says, because he doesn’t. He loves Dongwoo, and Dongwoo loves him. It’s supposed to be that simple.

The end: Dongwoo explains to him that he, Woohyun, has been the Lego figurine all along.
